Invisibility

It’s only a natural human instinct to feel sorrow for when you see someone with a broken arm or leg. But no one is quick to share that emotion when your mind is broken. The blindness of problems is what allows people to feel there problems aren’t worth it. Where in reality, there worse than a broken arm. Although it can’t be seen – it can be seen clearly in there mind. But at the same times it’s also foggy. The constant impact of wondering wether your thoughts and feelings matter because it’s not visible. The unseen effects behind close doors of mental illness isn’t always noticed. People are unable to share there story. Why? Because it’s not seen – there scared you won’t take it seriously. Or don’t be claimed “as bad”.

It’s so sad that there are still people suffering in silence due to the stigmas surrounding mental health, “because it’s not visible”.

The pain when you know people who you meet, work with, friends with who don’t know. But they push you further. Make you worse. It’s not there fault. But because your unable to spread the word out – doesn’t mean your not struggling. There unaware because this is invisible. It comes. It goes. It haunts.

REMEMBER. No matter how long it takes. No matter who helps you get there. You will get through it. You will achieve. Look back at how far you’ve come. Tell the story you was once living. Tell your family, friends maybe even your children at how brave and strong you was for getting through. But always remember- no matter how invisible you feel or others make you feel, you always have a purpose. Loads of purposes. And one day, you’ll begin to meet them and you will remember why you kept fighting.

Mental illness isn’t as visible as a broken arm. Mental illness is harder to identify.
