The sea isn’t always pretty

I love the sea. It’s blue glistening waters. The gentle strides of water. And then the orange pink sunsets that paint below. It’s pretty. Like really pretty. But sometimes I use the sea as a way to describe because the sea isn’t always pretty.

Imagine your on a boat. The little wooden ones. Except it’s there with you in the middle of the ocean: but it’s ok, you use what you’ve been given. It will do – it will have to do. On the odd days there’ll be storms. Storms which you haven’t prepared for. It’s scary, so scary but you make it through. And although there is no land in sight, you keep going. Because the ocean always leads to somewhere. Always. But other times you’ll get tied up. The seaweed tangles you up and pulls you down. It’s a battle. It’s exhausting. But your stronger than that. You have floated before so you can do it again. And you’ll keep doing it. Because your important.

There’s good days to. You’ll pass a ship and there’ll help you. Your boat can be patched up. You’ll have time to rest when you reach a mini island. And just with that extra support, you can have the help – to get you to where you need to be. But it will take time. I won’t lie. The ocean is big, but so are you.

I’m going to keep going through the waves. Sometimes under and other times on top. Because we have a purpose. And our path may even be bumpy, but it will lead us to where we need to get. And just becasue the sea isn’t always pretty, that doesn’t mean it can’t be pretty.
