I forgive you, He cadged and contained you, Took all your worth away, Beat you down to nothing, The control he used to de soul you, But you just saw it as the norm.
But it wasn’t.
I can see why you stayed silent, You wasn’t realize, But it sill hurts to know, that you, at such a young age thought this was the norm, to be belittled, to be overpowered, to be, to be, to be…..
But before you ask her why she stayed, look at the way a caged bird sometimes refuses to leave, even when its cage door is wide open. Even when you call it softly. Even when you try to set it free out of the cadge. Perhaps then you will understand. For she was only young and didn’t know. I can’t blame her and neither can you. No one was to blame except the man holding the key, the key that always seemed accessible at all times on the outside looking in. But on the inside it was invisible, it wasn’t even to be known to her.
And although she found the key, She wasn’t sure what to do with it, The doors unlocked and she was out the cadge, But where to go from there is unknown to her, Her good self wants to apologies for taking the key, The key that at times she wish she never found, But she needs to realize that just holding the key is enough for now, And that overtime she will begin to fly with it, Even if that takes a helping hand.
But she will rise. She will shine. She will. For she is so much more powerful than him. UNSTOPPABLE.
